Looking for Louis Lombardi, born July 1856 Peidmont di Olive, Napoli, Campania, Italy.
Married Barbara Prezcocci (born Dec 4, 1857, died Dec 4, 1909) about 1877.
Emmigrated about 1895. Resided Rome, Oneida, New York. Died Feb 25, 1911.

I believe that the birth town is PIEDIMONTE D'ALIFE current name town:
Piedimonte Matese (Caserta province, Campania region, IT)

and the maiden name of Barbara is PREZIOSI..

Thank you for the clarification. I'd be interested to learn how Piedmonte di Olive evolved to Piedmonte Matese in Castera province. I also suspected that Barbara's maiden name was incorrect, but how did you come by PREZIOSI? Thanks, John

Piedimonte d'Alife is the old name of Piedimonte Matese ( from 1974 the town is called Piedimonte Matese).

Prizioso spelled in USA; in Italy exist the surname Prezioso/i in Piedimonte Matese( ex d'Alife) civil records I found the Preziosi .. I searched abt marriage act.. but from 1877 to 1884 no marriage record... lacking 1885 and 1886.. because the oldest son was born in 1887 in the USA, so they married abt in 1885/6! Or you think that Luigi Lombardi married before of 1877?

I have always been led to believe (family oral reports) that Luigi Lombard came from Naples, Piedmonte di Olive, Italy. I may have a confirming resource, and will let you know. We have no information on their actual marriage date or place. The death date is correct, and I have confirming obituary from newspaper.

Yes I understand.. I found the 1892 census of the your ancestors in Frankfort, Herkimer, New York:
Louis Lombardi age 32,
Barbara age 31,
Toney age 4,
Joseph age 3,
Mary age 1

Hello Suanj (what is your first name?),
I have located a better copy of the 1892 census for Frankfort, Herkimer, New York as well as a 1910 census for Louis Lombardi. They both say Naples for a birth city.
Mary is the mother of my adopted mother (Carmella Lombard - they dropped the "i") - or my grandmother.

many italian immigrants to say Naples as birthplace, but meaning a Commune in Campania region.
