Marriage Record and the Parents' residence

Post by rp76226 »

If the Italain marriage record tells where the bride and groom were born and where they are residing, then draws a line on the form for residence for the groom's parents, but fills out the residence for the bride's parents, does that mean that the groom's parents were deceased at the time of the wedding?

Can you post the image?

Usually when the parents are deceased, there will still be an indication of where they lived during their lives...

You might want to look for the publication of the banns (Pubblicazione) and see if their place of residence is mentioned there...

The groom's parents were deceased... "figlio di fu Francesco" - means son of deceased Francesco... (Likewise for "della fu Giuseppa Barbera")

They apparently felt it wasn't necessary to mention their last place of residence :?
