The records for the years 1866-1910 were put on line shortly after this post and can be found at the following link:erudita74 wrote:There are also microfilmed records for this town available for rental through a Mormon library.
Registri dello stato civile di Grumento Nova (Potenza), 1809-1910
This original post is very outdated now so I've decided to write a very brief update. (Such a challenge for people who thrive on detail! )AngelaGrace56 wrote:I would also appreciate information about the following Saponara di Grumento/Grumento Nova families:
Toscano (Carmela), Lauria, Cavallo or Cavalo, Pricolo,Garlanda, Abate Mateo, Padula (spelling?). I am particularly interested to learn more about my great-grandparents: Giuseppi PRICOLO who married Rosolia CAVALLO) in the mid 1800's. They had two daughters Maria born 1887 and Rosa who married Donato Toscano. Thank you for your help.

(Incidentally, it looks like a sister of Vincenzo married the same year on 25 September 1902:
Marriage No 7: Domenico D'Ambrosio and Angiola Argenzio

Another Possibility: I've just had a recheck through the indices 1866-1909, because I was a little rushed earlier, and have found another Vincenzo Argenzio, which I missed the first time I went through, (the entry was squeezed into the start of the indices in small writing). Because the only info I have is the name Vincenzo Argenzio I'll wait to hear back from you with further details about him, time-frame, dob, immigration if applicable, who he married, parents if known, children, etc:-)AngelaGrace56 wrote: ↑26 Jan 2017, 20:23 Welcome to the Forum, Tanisha!

Welcome to the forum, Emanuel! Thank you for your post. I'm sorry it's taken a while for you to receive a reply. I've only just received notification today that it was here.mtousounis wrote: ↑16 May 2019, 03:06 Hello, my name is Emanuel Tousounis and I researching my mother's side who is from the town of Grumento Nova. My grandmother who is named Gloria Lavelgia daughter of Arthur Lavelgia(born 1893) and Rosalia Ferro(born 1891). Arthur was son of Teresa Lavelgia which was her maiden named and to our knowledge never married. Rumor is she had Arthur out of wedlock and the father is rumored to be named as Thomas Collogia which we have no clue is true or not. He was also rumored to be a police officer and we're unsure if he was from that area or not.
Arthur's wife, Rosalia Ferro's parents were Antonio Ferro(born 1857) and Rosalia Casella(born 1859) which I'm interested in learning more about both of their relatives if possible. I would like to dig to see if I can search for marriage records and or baptismal records. Any information you could direct me would be appreciated.
