On the birth certificate given in the link, the birth was reported in December. However, on the right side of the page, the actual month of the birth seems to be different. When was the baby Leonardo Cerami born?

Also, what is the full name of the father?

The left side states that the birth was recorded on 24 December, and the birth took place on the 23rd of the abovestated month.rp76226 wrote:On the birth certificate given in the link, the birth was reported in December. The right column (baptism) states that the child was baptized on the 30th, but the month looks like September, which I believe is a clerical error. There is a second page to the record that you have not posted.
Father is listed as Maestro Francesco Cerami. Maestro is a title given to a teacher, instructor, or master (of a skill, etc.)

Here is that other image you mentioned:

The interesting part is that Leonardo Cerami's passport as an old man with his picture clearly has him born on September 21, 1859. On this birth certificate - the name, names of parents, year, and town match the family member we know. It's the date of birth that seems off, yet the baptism, if it is right about September may be conclusive.

Re: Date of Birth Verification on Italian Birth Certificate
The birth date was September 23 and was recorded on September 24. If you look carefully you will see that in the month is "Sedembre"...

I definitely agree with Livio that the birth was recorded on 23 SEPTEMBER...liviomoreno wrote:The birth date was September 23 and was recorded on September 24. If you look carefully you will see that in the month is "Sedembre"...
My eyes deceived me!
Grazie, Livio!

Re: Date of Birth Verification on Italian Birth Certificate
Many Italians in those times considered the date of baptism to be their 'birth'date.
