Hello,
I am new to this and speak no Italian!
I am trying to trace family of Giuseppe Maggiora who emigrated to Argentina around 1900. While there he had a son, LUIS SEBASTIANO MAGGIORA in Buenos Aires.
In 1929 he is thought to have moved back to Refrancore where Luis completed his education before emigrating to England.
How could I verify these details and find out if they are true and possibly find a family tree for the Maggiora's?
Thank you,
David
I am wondering if this might be your Giuseppe Maggiora:
MAGGIORA, GIUSEPPE
AGE 34, SINGLE, FARMER,
NATIONALITY: ITALIAN
BOAT – SANNIO
ORIGIN: GENOA
DATE/PORT OF ARRIVAL: 29 NOVEMBER 1908, BUENOS AIRES
PLACE OF BIRTH: UNKNOWN.
THIS WOULD MAKE HIS YEAR OF BIRTH APPROXIMATELY "1874" AND HE WOULD HAVE BEEN APPROXIMATELY 55 WHEN HE RETURNED TO ITALY.
Great work Angela!!!

Thank you for doing this Marty, and for the encouragement too.
I had noticed that Giuseppe had married when I found his Birth Record but they have him recorded as Celibe on the passenger list so maybe Primina died. Unfortunately I am working the next couple of days so haven’t the time to look for a possible death record for her. Someone might have time to look for this. If they do could they please come back to the forum and let me know the outcome. Thanks. Couldn’t see any children born to them in 1903.

Since they were married in Quattordio a comune in the Province of Alessandria I think that's where maybe they stayed before going to South America
