Genealogy in Sicily

Post by gauss200 »

I have traced our ancestors to

Salvatore Allen Chickerella Birth 1886 28 Jan Cianciana Sicily,Italy arrived 1909
Vincenza Gentile Chickerella Birth 1896-06-25 in Cianciana Sicily,,,Italy

I believe that the Italian name for Chickerella might be Cicchirillo and his father might be Phillp and mother Rosalie Lumina Cicchirillo. How can I do further research and get birth certificates from Cianciana Italy. Does any one know where the records for this town are kept?

Thanks so much.

Thank you very much for your quick reply. Are notarized birth records available?

It is great to find out my wife's and children,s Italian heritage. I'm giving her family tree with links back to Italy as a present.

On my wife's other side, her maternal grandmother was Rose or maybe Rosario Campanaro born 1896 in Pascara del Mar I believe.

Again thanks for your help.
