Belle franca, Sicily?

I have reports of an ancestor being born in Belle Franca on the island of Sicily. However, I am unable to find any reports of this city/town on any map or any website.

Does anyone know where this is? I would like to request records to obtain a birth certificate, but I don't know which town I should ask for!!!

This was a verbal report, but read off a family Bible. The closest match I got was "Barrafranca".

Best not to speculate... You can start looking for Belle Franca - if it does exist, at the link below.

p.s. if you are looking for a particular ancestor who made it to the USA 1930 or sooner... a search could be done and hopefully discover exactly where he/she came from... all you would have to do is provide the details... I'm sure you'll get lots of help here.
