Searching for my great grandparents Francesco and Maria (nee Dezan) Bettarelli

Hello! My great grandparents came from Vittorio Veneto in Italy about 1900. I can't find any record of them in Italy. Where should I start?

So, the correct spelling should be Bettarel (from region Veneto, while Bettarelli seems to be from Marche)

Fregona is also listed on Francesco/Frank's WWII REgistration card that you posted
as his place of birth...

Yes, you are correct! This is my great-grandmother and her first born son, Giovanni. They went to ft thunder, Canada following Francesco and then the entire family went to Detroit, Michigan (USA). I can't find marriage or birth records in Italy. I only know that Maria's maiden name was Dezan, but I can't locate her parents...perhaps they are from fregona as well. My mother always said they we're proud to be from Vittorio veneto...would that make sense if they were from fregona?
