Family STRICCHIOLA

Post by aiescavol »

HI!

I search descendant of Giuseppe or Joseph Stricchiola, born in Apulia (Italy) on February 14, 1897, married with Maria De Bellis. He emigrated in 1921 (with name Strichola), and had 1 daughter Lucia.

I know that he had another child, Vito (1924.1982), but I don't know their descendant!

Thank!

Hi Michael,

I don't think you will be able to find the descendents you are looking for on the internet.

Joseph and Mary Stricchiola (according to SSDI) lived and died in NJ. There are no public record indexes of births, marriages or deaths for this state.

NJ state archives:

State of NJ to obtain vital records:

Wow - they just increased the fee to $26.00 (last year $4.00). There are also requirements of who can request records and for many you must have the exact date the event occured.

A suggestion:

http://www.whitepages.com/
Insert Stricchiola in last name and New Jersey for the state and you will get 10 entries. Try writing a letter to them. Perhaps you wil find a descendent.

Hi Deb,

This is why I was stating that people should get their genealogies done before any more changes occur. Another example is in Massachusetts, you have to prove how you are related in order to get a birth certificate. For one of my clients, I had to send her birth record and marriage record along with a photo ID to prove she was the daughter just to get her mother's birth certificate.

All the laws are changing. My advice to everyone is start getting your genealogies done before any more changes occur.

Smiles and waves to Deb!
