Galati records...very old

Post by lparrinelli »

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me or give me some guidance? Please. I have been doing research on family members who came from Galati with the last name Parrinelli. I recently found birth records that went back to 1842. They had information on them that could lead me to another 2 relatives one born in 1790 and the other in 1804.

Does anyone know where I can locate records from those time periods? I believe the Stato civile della resturazione only go back to 1821???

I can attach the record from 1842 if anyone thinks that might be helpful??

Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The LDS has microfilmed Riveli records for Galati, Messina, that cover years 1584-1816

You might want to familiarize yourself with these types of records and then rent/view them at your nearest LDS Family History Center...

Tessa

Thank you. I was hoping to find them online somewhere but I guess since they are so old I will have to go to the Family Center. I have gone before to view records from Stigliano so I guess I will be heading back there again?? LOL

Thanks again for your help.

Your other option would be to contact the local parish church - their records go back much further than 1821 :-)
