Hello All,
I am looking to see if anyone has any information on the surname DePasquale in Massachusetts. My grandfather was Armando DePasquale and was born in Leominster, Massachusetts February 13, 1927. His parents were Amideo DePasquale and Guiseppina DePasquale (maiden name Ciccolini). Both lived in Leominster, Massachusetts at some point. I am having a very difficult time finding any information on Amideo and Guiseppina and who their parents were. I am wondering if the last name was at some point Di Pasquale or Pasquale and somehow was changed in translation. If anyone has any information that could possibly be related to them in some way, please share.
Thank you,
Teresa

Re: DePasquale- Massachusetts
Hello Teresa
Could this be your Amedio DePasquale?
On this 1920 US Census, there is an Amedeo Pasquale (no prefix), age 26, residing as a boarder in Leominster, MA, with the Christoforo family
He is single, and working in Cementing.
He indicates he immigrated in 1909 AND naturalized in 1917.
Perhaps finding his naturalization records will help to clarify the spelling of the surname. It should also tell us his place of birth

On this WWI registration card, it appears to be the same person...
Place of residence (73 Colburn in Leominster MA) is same.
Occupation and place of employment is the same (Viscoloid Co.)
DOB is actually 1891 (23 October)
States that he has made his Declaration of Intent.
He appears to have signed his name - De Pasquale

AND... On this WWII Registration card - he lists his place of birth as PONZANO (which is probably Ponzano Veneto, in the Province of Treviso, Veneto Region) OR it could be Ponzano Romano, Province of Rome...

Located this possible arrival manifest for Amadio Di Pasquale, age 19, in 1910. Arriving Boston on 20 June 1910.
The age and date of immigration are close to those provided on the 1920 US Census
On the manifest Amadio is heading to Leominster, MA; and he leaves his mother Margherita in Civitella [will need to identify the correct comune]
Going to his brother Domenico in Leominster (page 2)
