Frigento cemetery

Post by dmurphy1940 »

Does Frigento have a cemetery or cemeteries?

I'd like to see if I could find any ancestors buried there, if possible.

Thank you.

Thanks, Livio. I wrote to them a year ago with no reply. I wonder if the cemetery is abandoned.

I don't think the town cemetery has been abandoned, as I found articles which indicate that in the last few years, there was a water problem related to the cemetery. The cemetery is listed under social services of the town. I would try one of the email addresses in the link below

SERVIZI SOCIALI

Cimitero
Addetti: Cipriano Gennaro
Servizi: "Manutenzione tombe, tumulazioni e riesumazioni"
Orario: A disposizione

Thank you, Erudita. I wrote to Mr. Cipriano as I could not find an email address.

I couldn't find an email address for him either, but I'm sure that, if you directed your email to one of the other people whose email addresses are on the site, your email would have been forwarded to the appropriate person.

I thought of that too, Erudita, but in the end decided to write a letter.:)

Dolores,
I hope you have success with the letter. I just thought that email would be much quicker. You could have just put "cimitero comunale" in the subject title of the email, so it definitely would have been given to the correct person. I doubt these municipal offices are that big, so everyone probably knows everyone else who works there.

Maybe I will follow up with an email and ask about a specific ancestor. Thank you!

You have nothing to lose, Dolores, but the time it takes you to type the email. AND you've told me in the past that you are a fast typist! Good luck and keep us posted.
