Surname GRANDINI

Post by diogograndini »

Hi!!

I'm looking for some kind of information about this surname.

I am a descendant of FRANCESCO GRANDINI who born in Italy between 1839-1841, and immigrated to BRAZIL between 1855-1865. He is son of GIOVANNI GRANDINI and MARIA MUSTIOLLA, they born and died in Italy.

Thanks!

Diogo

Hi,
I found a marriage in Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil, abt:

FRANCISCO GRANDINI and DEOLINDA MARIA DE SOUZA on 01/01/1893
País : Brasil
UF : RS
Município : Viamão
Histórico :
Localidade : Terceiro Distrito
Orgão Custódia : Arquivo Público do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul
Classificação : Cartório do Registro Civil de Viamão
Observação : OS PAIS DO NOIVO SÃO NATURAIS DA ITÁLIA. CONSTA ATESTADO DE IDADE DOS NOIVOS. CONSTA ATESTADO DE CONHECIMENTO DOS NOIVOS.

this record could be abt your ancestor? If yes, maybe he was born after 1839/1841... you are sure abt probable birthyear? And the mother maiden name, Mustiolla is a wrong spelling probably... You can add more details please?
Thanks a lot,
suanj

Hi!! Thanks to answer my topic!!!

Yes, this record is about him!
The date of marriage is actually 24/10/1893.
I have this original record, but don't get clear the year of birth.
In the record just say he has 52 years old and born in Italy. So could be 1840/1841.
His dead was in 07/04/1931 (I have the obituary) and he has 92 years.
This leads to 1839... So a have this range 1839-1841.

Someone of my family told me that he came to Brazil to run away the war, probably with 18 year old.
So maybe came to Brazil between 1857/1860.

In wich site did you make this search?

Do you think that the surname can be different in the registry in Italy?
I made a list of variations: Grandili, Grandin, Grandine, Grandino, Grandene, Gradini...

The mother surname can be: Mottola, Mustilo, Mostioli, Mussetola.

Many Thanks!

In my last research I've found that the surname could be Mustioli because there is no other similar.

Thanks
