jcsm you're welcome!
Question, do you think we have two unrelated families here?
In 1930 Frank Strangis 1899 is married to Florence (see your census link) living with his father Napoleone in MA
In 1930 Frank Strangis 1917 is living in NY with his mother Julia & grandparents...
What do you think?
Need more family names/ locations/etc?

Nuccia,

Think vj & I were posting @ abt same time......vj researcning in NY & me in MA (see 1st post). Beth went thru info from vj, Strangis from Niagara Falls, NY, but not sure if she has seen census info on the Strangis from Brockton, MA that I posted. She did see the WWI Draft Card & verified that this was her grandfather. His listed address in Brockton, MA & shows nearest relative as father, Napoleon Strangis.

Does this help clarify the mud? I should have written the info out & then posted the links, but with my dialup, just linking images takes so much time, I skipped the 1st & went to the linking! My apologies!

Will go back & edit my posts to include written information. May take awhile.......doing this b/t things again.

I'll get things right, someday!......................Maybe :!: :!: :!: :!:

vj,

Think it goes like this: Napoleon & Maria Strangis>Frank Joesph Strangis(1899) & Florence ?>Frank J. Strangis (1917) & ? > Beth.

Beth has a lot of really good information here to continue her research. Great teamwork as usual :!: Sure hope she is still checking this post!

Oh! Beth verified that the WWI draft card was her grandfather. So Napoleon & Maria are her great, grandfather. And thanks to you, she even has Maria's maiden name.

Hugs,

jcsm :)

I could not make out the imageshack image, but the all the above information seems to be accurate, could you maybe elaborate on what that says? I'm sorry, I seem to be confused. I REALLY appreciate you guys helping me, I would really love to know about my family's history, since my grandfather has died and no one knows anything. I do know that they did live in Mass. & My grandfather lived in NY.

Thank You!!

I am soooo silly sometimes. I forgot to go to Page 2. I am sorry I wasn't able to get on earlier, I had finals this week with school. and Busy with work.....I am sooo Grateful for your help. In response, the information about my grandfather is correct. I am still confused, my great grandfather's name appears to be Napolean & Maria? I thought my great grand mother's name was Julia?. I don't think I have quite followed what everyone has come across. I don't get if there were two identical families or my great grandfather was a drifter of sorts. I do know my grandfather was missing in action in war for 6 months. I know this, because some old woman (never gave me her name, etc.) showed up at his funeral with the newspaper clipping and said not much else, and left. I am going to reread all the posts so that I maybe catch myself up.

Thank You ALL again, I am getting way more information that I EVER could have done on my own.
