Post by antonio43 »

Hello,

once again I have a question.
I've discover my wife an ancestor from Verona.
She came to France at the beginning of the XIX century.
I wrote to Verona, various time but I have the impression they doesn't really want not to help genealogist.
So I write you in prder to know if someone can help me to dicover more over my ancestor.
Thanks

Hi Antonio,

I'm not sure if you have access to a Family History Center in your area, but here is the link to find the nearest Family History Center.

There is microfilm that you can rent from the Family History Center for the town of Verona. The film goes to the year 1871. Anything after 1871 you have to write to the town. Here is the link for the film numbers

When you write to Italy, the letter has to be in Italian, so here is a link that will help you translate your letter.

Here is the address again.

Ufficio Stato Civile
Comune di Verona
Piazza Bra, 1
37100 Verona VR
ITALY

Here is their official web site.

And I hope you know that Verona is both a town and a province, so I do hope you are referring to the town itself.

I hope this helps,
Trish
