Father's first name

Post by rp76226 »

On the following Ellis Island manifest, line 25 for Giuseppe Borgese, all the way to the right, it gives his father's name. I cannot make out the first name for his father. Can anyone figure it out?

I have that record. I happen to have two Giuseppe Borgese, each with a different wife, and two Giovanni Borgese fathers, each with a different wife. The two Giuseppe Borgese relatives are distantly related to each other. The Giuseppe Borgese record that you gave me is related to me as the nephew of husband of second great aunt. The other Giuseppe Borgese is related to me as a first cousin two times removed. I have a some American records on him and his wife, but not Italian records, though by census records he was born in Italy and his age is about the same as the other Giuseppe Borgese. So when I look at these immigration records that give the father and not the wife, I'm wondering which one its for. By the census record from 1925 saying he was in America for 15 years, that immigration record could be the one for my first cousin.
