I'm looking for relatives of my father-in-law, Erminio Ceschi, in the Cavizzana Caldes area. Any help would be great!

Hi There,

Can you please be a little more specific? Can you tell us the year of birth for Erminio and where he settled in the USA? By any chance did he have a nickname?

Did his parents come to the USA too?

Whatever information that you can give us will help us with helping you gather more information.

Per Ellis Island, I found a few Erminio's coming into the USA.

Hello Riccardo!

Many thanks! I recognize some of these names. My husband and I are planning a trip and would like to visit with his people. It has been many years since he was there. :D

I see now that I have some others to thank as well. Please forgive me as I'm new to this.
Steve, Erminio did come to the US in 1921 and went by the name Herman Ceschi. He eventually married Katherine Jachino and they settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where my husband was born. When my husband Donald was in the service he visited many of his relatives in Cavizzana, but that was in 1955. Don is now 71 and would like to see the old country once more. I'm trying to help smooth the way somewhat. Thank you all!
