We're looking for information on my husband's family who are a bit of a mystery, and we don't know where to start! Any help would be welcome.
This is what we know:
Angelo Paolucci, born approx 1879 and came to England.
Angelo's father was called Joseph Paolucci and was a farmer; he was deceased on the 1907 wedding certificate of Angelo's.
Angelo's occupation on his wedding certificate was an organ grinder ( )
Angelo married Jane Cochrane (born Barton) on the 3rd October 1907 in Mansfield, UK
Angelo and Jane had a son, Ernest Angelo P Cochrane in 1906 (out of wedlock)
It is believed he went to America a couple of years after his marriage (alone).
Paolucci family
Re: Paolucci family
This appears to be his arrival manifest information for voyage to USA.
However, he does not travel alone, but rather with his wife Jeanie.
They last resided in Mansfield, leaving her father J. J. Cochrane; and their destination is to Angelo's brother, Pasquale Paolucci on First Ave. in NYC.
There also appears to be notations on Angelo's passenger line (3) indicating that he applied for naturalization in 1942...
Also, the passenger on line 2 above Angelo (whose name is crossed out) was going to "friend Pasquale Paolucci" also. In the last column, this passenger's place of birth is listed as "Isola Lizi" and a ditto mark is indicated for Angelo's place of birth. Isola Lizi MAY be Isola del Liri, Frosinone.

Here is a link to his Declaration of Intent for Naturalization in 1942.
On it he indicates that he arrived 16 October 1907 on the SS Caronia (same as above manifest)
He was born in 18 March 1879 in Caserta, Italy, and he sailed from England.
He married his wife, Carmela, in NY in 1910. He lists his children.

Re: Paolucci family
Oh wow! Thank you so much Tessa; that's incredible; so much information. Where do you start to find this info?
"Jeanie" (she was actually called Jane) returned back to England where we believe she married a William Adderley and ended her days in my hometown of Halifax.
There are many twists to this family tree that we are just starting to unravel - it's like a soap opera! We were stuck on Paolucci though, so thank you so much for this information; very grateful.

Re: Paolucci family
Isola del Liri was part of the province of "Terra di Lavoro" (Caserta) until 1926.
So, it's possible he was born there.
