Great job translating Antonio's death record. I believe that death the registration took place on 31 December 1831 and not the 21st. I am also reading that he died on 31 December 1831.

I believe the occupation there is Stazzonaro. It is really poorly written. I am understanding that it is an archaic term referring to someone who worked with ceramics – so possibly a potter. If you take a look at the index it is a little bit clearer there.

My thinking is that the title Maestro before Lorenzo’s name might not neceassarily mean that he was a teacher. My thinking is that this title before his name means that he was a “Master” in whatever his occupation was – he was possibly also a Stazzonaro.

Yes, if you look at Danip’s first post, he has extracted the details of Antonio’s parents. They were the deceased Lorenzo (Failla) and the living Anna Spallino, living in Castelbuono. He was married but it doesn’t give his wife’s details.
