You know, you could be related to Madonna, seeing that her Ciccone family is from Detroit, too (although her grandfather was Gaetano):

Hi Nuccia Maria found the ships manifest for me when I was searching for my grandfather's brother.

Re: Benedetta Ciccione
Took a better look at the manifest...

ellisisland.org/search...072140299&

If this indeed is your Tommaso, he was in S. Elia Fiumerapide, Italy in 1921

First Name: Benedatta
Last Name: Ciccione
Ethnicity: Italy

Emmy
Last Place of Residence: S. Elia Fiuimer, Italy
Date of Arrival: Sep 04, 1921
Age at Arrival: 16y Gender: F Marital Status: S
Ship of Travel: Providence
Port of Departure: Naples
Manifest Line Number: 0019

Page 1 mentions... that her "nearest relative or friend in country when alien came from would be her grandfather "DeFilippo Tommaso" from S. Elia Fiumerapide....

Benedetta would be joining her father Ciccone Antonio
No. 1457 Rowene St., Detroit, Michigan

----------------------------------------------------------------
Now to look for Antonio Ciccone...

There are 2 records of an Antonio Ciccone... (S. Elia) one says he is married to a Cristina...

So I looked for Cristina DeFilippo and she does exist...

This Cristina DeFilippo is married to an Antonio Ciccone.... but her father in S.Elia... is an Antonio

First Name: Cristina (Benedetta Ciccone's mother??)
Last Name: De Fillips
Ethnicity: Italian
Last Place of Residence: S.Elia, Italy
Date of Arrival: Aug 18, 1913
Age at Arrival: 30Y Gender: F Marital Status: M
Ship of Travel: Moltke
Port of Departure: Naples
Manifest Line Number: 0011

0011. De Fillips, Cristina F 30Y M Italian S.Elia, Italy
0012. Angela F 4Y S Italian S.Elia, Italy
0013. Elisabetta F 9y S

Cristina's manifest pg 1

Cristina's manifest pg 2

----------------------------------

Benedetta's record say her Grandfather was Tommaso.......
Christina's record says her father was Antonio...
------------
Dont know if it works copying and posting like this, but the background to this is on a thread I posted 'Needing help with Ancestry'
Mary is Maria Christina. Dont know if I posted this inf. or not but I did get a copy of Antonio and Maria Christina's wedding certificate and they were married in Deptford London 1903. There first child Elisabeth was born in London 1904.

Sorry I didnt notice that vj had posted the link.
John Roy looks to be the correct the dates tie in.
I did have the one about Nicholas, jcsm had found and posted that one, and I did write to two address in that area to people whom I thought may be related but have had no replies.

Hi john_dominic
Me related to Madonna 8O !!!
If you saw a picture of me and put it next to one of Madonna, I could truthfully say your words would be-'NO WAY'
Mind you with a 'wee tuck here and a wee tuck there' stranger things have happened
Joking apart 'Thank you' for that information, I will keep it in mind.

Thanks to everyone
God Bless Emmy

Oh I love this!! (not the Madonna info... I think her ancestors were Abbruzzese?)

I like family trees illustrated this way...

Hope to use illustrations such as yours in future posts...

Great idea!!

I agree that that format is impressive ... a good screen shot from your Genealogy software or a pre-designed Word document ... and you've got an incredible reference tool!

Hello
I am new to this and a family member pointed out some of my geneaology of the Ciccone family. My name is Daniel Fusco and I am the grandson of Benedetta Ciccone Fusco. She was married to Alfonso Fusco in Detroit, Michigan and after she passed away, he moved (along with most of his children) to Southern California (Orange County). So far, here is what I can give you:

Benedetta Ciccone married Alfonso Fusco,
Her sisters were Elizabeth (Ciccone) Soave,
Johnny Ciccone, Nick Ciccone, Angie (Ciccone) Brown
and her children are as follows (not in any particular order):
Rose (Fusco) Norkus married Edward Norkus (1 child; Tina)
Yolanda (Fusco) Di Donato married to Allen Di Donato (4 children)
Josephine (Fusco) Tonak married to Ken Tonak (lives in Michigan)
Concetta (Fusco) Chudzicki married to Ed Chudzicki (4 children)
Mary Fusco (deceased; no children) and
Alfonso Fusco Jr married to Linda Chicoine (children Dan (me), Jennifer, and Pamela)

Also, I want to add that Elizabeth (Ciccone) Soave was married to Antonio Soave and had I think 4 children:
Sam Soave married to Donna DiPalma (aunt or grandmother to Gwen Stefani; I have to do a little more research on that)
Toni (Soave) Howard married to Cecil Howard
Suzi (Soave) McGraw

Hi Daniel
Sorry I didnt see this post sooner.
Thank you for the information. I really appreciate that.
I have been in touch with Donna and her family and yes Gwen Stefani is a relation of Donna's I think Gwen is Donna's neice's daughter. Sadly Sam died at the beginning of the year.

Donna sent me photographs of the family and one of Benedetta's marriage. It was so nice to get those.

In some way, from way back, we are related. Benedetta, your grandmother, was my grandfather's(Giovanni Battista DeFilippis) brother's (Tommaso De Filippis)granddaughter. WOW now that takes some working out doesnt it !!
(Your G.Grandmother -Maria Cristina Ciccone (m.s. De Filippis)- was my father's cousin)
I'm sending you a p.m.
Emmy xx
