Information about great grandfather

I im trying to locate some information about the death of a great grandparent. His name is Nunzio Vicari-He lived his whole life in NYC The last record I could find of him was his naturalization date 1927. He was born in 1888. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What would the correct spelling of her last name be? It looks like three versions out there Marru, Marro and Mara

Not exactly scientific but in doing a search on Pagina Bianche (the Italian White pages) for the various spellings in the province of Ragusa, my best guess would be the last name was MARU'.

When you do your search on the Ellis Island site, make sure that you type the last name as MARU'. You must include the apostrophe to get a hit.

I used the two children's names from Nunzio's
naturalization card since we didn't know his
wife's maiden name.
Info was confirmed by eyetalgal's manifest
info for Nunzio.
