Maiden names?

I have found a 1912 baptism of one of my grandmothers brothers, in England, the thing is, its says (in Latin!!) the godparents are a guy who i know was a friend of the family, but the godmother,it says the name of his wife!They were married by then, does anyone think this is the wife, using her maiden name, or its someone else????

Thanks!! This has confirmed the 2 familes knew each other, they have the same surname, but no family connection as yet, just from the same town in Italy!!
