domenico/antenucci

Post by bratkac »

Good Day everyone.
I'm new and I'm hopping someone can help me with any information at all.
I have some family that came over directly from Italy not sure where from or on what ship I do know they migrated between 1890-1891 Not sure where they got off or on at. They lived in Ohio and died here. I'm looking for information on a Samuele Domenico Wife Fiorenza Antenucci.

Thank you for any help you can give.

Hi Kerry, and Welcome to the Forum :D !
To make sure we're looking for the correct family,
is this your Samuele Domenico's WWI Draft Card?
Are you interested in US records, Italian
records or both.
For Italian records you'll need the town of origin in Italy.

Samuel D Domenico (may be D'Domenico), 44
1015 Lafayette St
Canton, OH
born 4 Mar 1874 in Italy

Hi Kerry!
All of these records are from ancestry.com, a paid
subscription site. You may find free access at your
local library. For sure, I would get a library card
and get free home access to HeritageQuest thru
your library (no charge in Ohio). I got mine online.
HeritageQuest has some outstanding databases
(including census thru 1920 & most of 1930)

If the census records are correct for your family,
you can begin ordering vital records from Ohio.
It would be great if you could find the 1901?
marriage record for Samuele Domenico &
Fiorenza Antenucci. It may give you a town in Italy
& parents names.
Alternate spellings should be included in your request.
Best guess may be Di Domenico (from 1910 census
& WWI Card) Other first names could be Samuele,
Saverio, Savino, Sabatino, Filomena.

Although Samuele Domenico's naturalization may be
before 1906 when records were standardized,
his naturalization paperwork should be worth
tracking down.

:D Thank you all so very much. This is a huge help. I'm really excited you've helped me come up with new places to look for information that was right in front of my face. I did some other spellings but was never really sure. I've done good with some of my family that i'm looking for but you all have helped me get back on track with this one.

I will check into the library and online. Thank you soo Much.

Thanks again
