On the ship or not????

Post by Last »

Hello, I am the grandson of Alessandro Parente. He was born in Montefusco, Italy on August 16 or 26 1879. The Ellis Island web site shows he immigrated from Naples, Italy on February 28, 1902 on the ship The Lombardia and arrived in New York on March 16, 1902.

The manifeest shoes his name was crossed out. Is there a way to verify he was on that ship?

Hi Chuck,
the only manifest I could locate was in 1903.
Is this the one you're looking at?

edit: added
Chances are he sailed on another ship

Hi Valerie, I think the the other manifest you listed is him. He came to West Pittston PA. His brother-in law was named manganello and there is aSalem Street in west pittston.

Thank you for you help.
