The Orso Family of Vicenza

Hi Looking for help to locate information on the ORSO family of Vicenza Region. My Nonno Guiseppe Orso, emigrated to Perth, Australia in the Late forties after being a POW in Dandalup WA. Apparently he was an exceptional athlete and been chosen for the olympics prior to being drafted to fight in WW2. Any help in locating any information about him would bve greatly appreciated.

Thankyou for the address, Guiseppe ORSO is my Nonno. I will be writing to the appropriate people to get this information

I have his service records and naturalization records but not info prior to his arrival in Aust, so wish me luck!!

Hi All,

Had to create a new user Name and Profile, as had changed email and could no longer log in. Have found a little more information out. My Nonno's parents were Giovanni Orso and Romilda Rocher (born 1901, Veneto)

Still looking for any help I can get. Will contact the Commune for their birth certs, but any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.
