Bonaccorso... can't find my family :(

Post by mbmajor »

I am looking for any information on Giuseppina Bonaccorso. She was my grandmother. She was born in Palermo in Jan, 1925. She married an english man, my grandfather, Named Robert Major (D-O-B: Aug, 17,1916) born in england. However when I have tried to locate their marriage gift certificate, I was unable to find out in the england registrar. They were married on a Military base, (i know only from the picture I have of their wedding day.) I don't know anything about my grandmothers parents. She passed away when I was bery young, and my grandfather passed away before I was born, and she didn't talk about pre-war days to anyone, not even my father. I have been searching for years for anything for both of them. I only know my grandfather was previously married, but could not find out anything as to where he was born, etc. The only reason I know my grandmother was born in Palermo, is because I have her passport.

Anything, that ANYONE could pass along would be just amazing. I have found them on ancestory.com. But I do not own a credit card to get credits on any of them. They came to american in 1951 or 52, coming through quebec. and my grandmothers death date is July 8, 1990

Again, if anyone could help me, I would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to respond on a post or send me an email.

Cheers, and thanks for taking the time to read this.

Perhaps if you try www.findmypast.com, you may find it helpful. it is a paying website, reasonable but brimming with information including military marriages. =Peter=

Her social security death index shows her passing on in Milwaukee Wisconsin which means that you can obtain her SS-5 social security application copy which contains her parents names and other vital data which you may or may not be aware. The cost is about $27.00 and if you click on her name in the social security death index under SS-5 in blue a form letter will appear for your use. =Peter=

Sorry, I have to do a correction to my previous post...
Mbmajor wrote his grandfather's DOB .. August 17, 1916...
So this is the right record:
