Picolla Family assistance

I am looking for any information on Guiseppe Picolla and Rosa Maria Fazio. They were married in Italy.

Rosa was born in Catanzaro, Italy

Guiseppe was a child who stayed in a monastery in Italy. I do not know much else about him and was hoping that any assistance could be found.

Did Giuseppi and Rosa eventually immigrate to the US? Catanzaro is both a city and a province. Was Rosa born in the city of Catanzaro, or in a smaller town in the province? Can you give us some kind of a time frame?

Sorry it took me so long. Yes they immigrated to the us. I have searched all of the records and came up with no other information. Guiseppi (Joseph) came in 1901 and Rosa came about 1903.


She was born in Pollogario, Catanazaro. Her date of birth is Sept 16, 1884

Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, they had one daughter in Italy her name was Mary Picolla. She died in the US at age 19. She was born about 1901.

Pallagorio, 88818, Provincia Crotone is listed under Pallagorio Catanzaro on microfilm at your nearest Family History Library of the Mormon church for the period 1814 to 1910 covering all births,marriages and deaths. May I suggest you bring a book titled Discovering Your Italian Ancestiors by Lynn Nelson which is a companion for the micorfilms since the records are in Italian and handwritten...also bring along a magnifying glass as well.
