Need to find my great-grandfather, I believe his name was either Giuseppe DOB 1855 or Erasmo DOB 1851 in Traetto Italy. Any information would be great.
hello john, the town that you mentioned, Traetto , cannot be found in the list of italian towns. i searched the list of ''frazoni's'' and once again i could not find that name.
there are a number of similar names but to many to venture a guess. do you have access to the documents that may have that name included? if not where did you come up with the village name?
finally, would you know what province the town was in?

You might want to try looking at the LDS films for Traetto they only cover the years 1811 through 1865 but since your grandfather was born in 1882 theres a chance your great grandfathers birth act might be there somewhere in the 1840's, 50's or 60's
