Justin, can you give us an idea as to when Joseph and Genevieve would have been born or had their children? When was your grandfather Carl born (roughly).

I think VJ did an amazing job considering the info she had to go on.

Let us know :)

There is ONLY one Salvadore (or variant spelling) family in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA. in 1930. I believe they must be somehow related to you. Ignore the Salvatori mispelling, it is common with census records.

here is the page, perhaps Joseph and "Julia" are yours, and their children were living elsewhere.

1930 Williamsport PA. Census

You mention a death notation for Joseph in 1946...

What other information do you have on him? There are so many, especially with the Spanish Salvador family sometimes adding an "e".

right now i dont have much info on him except that he is listed in italiangen.org

Salvador Joseph 52 y May 9 1946 10177 Kings S413

i believe thats him also they moved to brooklyn,ny later on so maybe he could have been living in brooklyn but im sure the family is listed just maybe under a wrong name but i know there are people on here who are experts at finding this info out so who ever can i deeply appreciate all you have down

thanks

hmmmm... Sminsotti...?? maybe Simonotti....Genevieve is Ginevra in italian spell... you have death act of Genevieve? when she was born...? I cannot find this family in the censuses.... not with this name children.... so on the Social Security Death Index Genevieve must be as Genevieve Salvadore died in Brooklyn???

justin with this data that you have, I found nothing.... joseph was born around 1893/4 by death record:
Salvador Joseph 52 y May 9 1946 10177 Kings 1893 - 1894
I believe right step to request the death act... maybe it are some helpful info... I have some doubt abt Venice birthplace.... because Salvatore-Salvadore/i is especially of south Italy, but it is also possible that the right spelling is Salvador... I found a ship's arrival abt a Giuseppe SALVADOR coming from Teor ( Udine province no far from Venice, and in any case teor is in friuli Venezia Giulia region), well this Giuseppe Salvador age 19, single, of north Italy, born in teor, father Francesco in Teor, joining at Vittorio and Candido brothers in Hamilton, Ont.

New York Passenger Lists, 1820-1957
about Giuseppe Salvador
Name: Giuseppe Salvador
Arrival Date: 16 Apr 1913
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1894
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Port of Departure: Genoa, Italy
Ethnicity/Race/Nationality: Italian (North) (Italian)
Ship Name: America
Search Ship Database: View the America in the 'Passenger Ships and Images' database
Port of Arrival: New York, New York
Nativity: Italy
Line: 15
Microfilm Serial: T715
Microfilm Roll: T715_2052
Birth Location: Italy
Birth Location Other: rovdgmeno ( no : Rivignano is on above line, he born in Teor)
Page Number: 35

now, if this people after first final destination came in Pennsylvania, USA I know not, but this people matching enough.....
