Looking for Tonello family - Moriago

Post by tarantula »

I would appreciate any help in the finding of my family "Tonello", from Moriago.
I have a baptism handwritten paper, in latin language (with roman numbers for years) and there is an ink stamp saying: "S. Leonardo di Moriago".
The name of the parents is: Matheus (or Matteo) Tonello and Angela Dal Palú.
The childrens are: Leonardo (my great grandfather), Vincenzo and Catharina.
The year of the baptism paper is dated of November, 1887.
They have emmigrated from Italy to Brasil in January, 1888.
Thank you !

Hi,
Just for a start:
Moriago is in Treviso province, Veneto Region, NE Italy and the complete name is Moriago della Battaglia. This last part was added after WWI.
S.Lorenzo is the name of the Church, in Moriago della Battaglia, where the Baptism took place.
"Tonello" is a family name existing in Moriago while "Dal Palù" is found in neighbouring towns.

Sorry, I made a mistake the name of the church is S. Leonardo , as you wrote. For some unknown 8O reasons I wrote Lorenzo.
