Looking for family info from Pisticci
Looking for family info from Pisticci
I'm trying to find info on my grandfather & uncle. My grandfather was Leonardo Pierro DOB 3/12/1879 in Pisticci. My Uncle was Giovanni Baptist Salerno, DOB 5/11/1904, Mother's name Grace Santarangelo, Fathers name Vincent Salerno. Had a sister Rosalie & brother Dominck all were born in Pisticci. Can anyone help me in obtaining more info and possible relatives still in Pisticci.

Re: Looking for family info from Pisticci
My grandfather left Pisticci for America in 1902. He married my grandmother in 1903 in NY. She was from Craco. We have everything on her family dating back to 1811. We are not having much luck with my grandfather & uncle.
We know for sure poppa was born in Pisticci 3/12/1879 and my uncle was born on 5/11/1904 in Pisticci. We think my uncle was about 16 when he came to the states.

Leonardo Pierro married Antonia Mormando in NYC in 1903. They filed a marriage certificate in Craco in 1904.
Giovanni Salerno married Maria Pierro my aunt, daughter of Leonardo & Antonia Pierro. I'm not sure of the wedding date but I can call my cousin to ask her.
