Do you have first names? Did they immigrate? To what location?

I pulled 24 results on the 1930 census with correct spelling alone....
125 results for immigration records.

I am wondering if anyone can help...Looking for information on my grandparents.

One side came from Cervicatti, Calabria outside of Cosenza. My grandfather Oresto Nico, dont know when he first came over, and my grandmother, Letezia Damiano, who came over around 1920.

The other set of grandparents came from Giovinazzo, Bari....grandfather's name is Paolo Sigismondo, arrived in US on The USS Cretic in 1908...

Any information (lineage, siblings etc) would be wonderfully apprciated.. Thanks.

You guys are great. here is another one for you...My maternal grandmother Corsigana Lacalamita Sigismondo came from Giovinazzo Bari with three daughters Addelorata, Grazia and Anna around 1938/39 to NYC. Can you tell me any information on the name of the ship, manifest, etc.

My mother and and all four grandparents were born in Italy, emigrated to the US, and then gave up their Italian citizenships to become US citizens before I was born. Do any of you know if there is any mechanism for me to apply for Italain citizenship based upon ancestry even though mother/relatives are not current Italian citizens? Thanks...

Here are basic guidelines from the Expats in Italy forum:

Italian Citizenship Jure Sanguinis

1. Your father was an Italian citizen at the time of your birth and you never renounced your rights to Italian citizenship (trust me. you havenâ€™t done this.)
2. Your mother was an Italian citizen at the time of your birth, you were born AFTER January 1, 1948 and you never renounced your rights to Italian citizenship.
3. Your father was born in the USA, his father was an Italian Citizen at the time of his birth and neither you or your dad renounced your rights to Italian Citizenship.
4. Your mother was born in the USA, her father was an Italian Citizenship when she was born and you were born AFTER January 1, 1948 and neither of you renounced your rights to Italian citizenship,
5. Your paternal or maternal grandfather was born in the USA, your maternal or paternal great grandfather was an Italian citizen at the time of his/her birth, neither you nor your father/mother nor you grandfather/grandmother ever renounced rights to Italian Citizenship.
