obtaining birth certificates from Itlay

need address to request birth certificate for my great grandmother born in Piano Sorrento 1893.
Does anyone know, and what the cost and procedure is?

Hi Little Shea.

Here is a link for Piaginebianche ( the white pages for Italy) to get the town correct.

Also before you send a letter or phone the correct people you want to make sure you have all the information you need. Persons name, date of birth , town born in. Mother and fathers name will help a great deal.

And here is another website for you. It has all sorts of "form Letters you can copy and use to get the wording correct for the letter.
