Rosa Reda/John Pulice

Post by domino4674 »

Rosa would have been my G-great aunt. I know she was married to John Pulice. They had 2 children Joseph and Rose. She died giving birth to their 3rd child. The baby died also. As far as I know, she never came to the states. Any information out there on any of these folks!?

If you go to www.gens.labo.net/en/cognomi and put in the names in the upper left for their distribtuion thruout Italy it may help us both if you can identify the town, province or region of origin for these people and enable us to refer you accordingly. =Peter=

Hello!
If you're looking for Italian records...

If this is Rosa Reda & John (Giovanni) Pulice's son Joseph (Giuseppe), he indicated he was born in Carolei (province of Cosenza, region Calabria) on his ship manifest.
Carolei may be a good place to start looking for Italian records.

from Ellis Island

1922 manifest
page 2

Giuseppe Pulice (born abt 1905) traveling with a cousin to join his father Giovanni in Ronco (Fayette) PA
Leaving his sister Rosina in Carolei.
---

If Carolei is the correct comune, you could review your family’s records on microfilm.

Your nearest Family History Center has records for Carolei on microfilm.
The cost is about $6 mo (rent), you’ll need to go to the center to order & view them.

As Laura :D listed on your other post, the province of Cosenza has many of their civil records online from 1800-1900

for example, some possible records:

Pulice Giovanni M
17/04/1868
CAROLEI

Pulice Giovanni Vincenzo M
23/06/1868
CAROLEI

Pulice Giovanni M
12/10/1881
CAROLEI
