I have found a naturalization certificate for grandfather Vincenzo Galie.
I have trouble locating his place of birth in Italy.
It is either 'Mazzino' or 'Mazzano'.
Also his wife Pierna is born in a place which I can not completely read from the document.

I would like to ask'Peter'-or anyone who has info- if he can help with info about an Italian immigrant to the US who returned to Italy for a visit.I find them on the ships manifest on the return trip from the visits, but I can not find any info on the trip over from US to Italy?

I found a person in Louisiana with the last name of Galie -which is my family surname from the Ascoli Picena area of Italy-and listed in the census as being Black!!
