Re: Court Order for One and the Same Person

Sad to hear this Mike, and once again the wheels of government stand in the way! now I would contact the Philly Italian consulate and make them aware that their request has not worked out for you and your quest to claim what is rightfully yours. Again, Im not a lawyer and don't know much about these ...

Your welcome gldmjd....
Umberto DiSilvestro sure sounds like Albert DiSylvester to me and at some point like many others, Umberto changed his name to Americanize himself as so many others before him did. Court orders and lawyers shouldn't be needed ugh, and it bothers me that everyone is directed ...

Re: Please help. Missing marriage certificate.

Hi,
you could shoot the consulate an email regarding your situation, not sure regarding them not being married. Do you have all of their birth and death certificates?

Re: Court Order for One and the Same Person

Hi,
I'm not familiar with procedures regarding court orders and obviously either is the judge's office where you called....doesn't surprise me. Is your fathers name completely different on his birth certificate as it is on yours, or we talking just spelling of his name ? (eg. a different mis ...

Re: certified certificate of citizenship from 1935

check on the copy of the "petition" that you have and it should tell the name of the county that he was resididing in at that time. You might be able to aquire his citizenship papers at the department of heath in that county....if they do have those records there be sure to tell them that it is for ...

Re: divorce decree requirements

Hi, I would think that the judgement and decree only would suffice to be translated, not 100% sure though.... if the officer reviewing your docs for citizenship asks for those other docs pertaining to your divorce, which I doubt, then all they will ask is that you have those other docs translated and ...

Re: Phialdelphia requirement and divoce decree proof

Something from a lawyer? Ugh,then they are saying that the lawyer's signature on something is more important than the judge's signature on a judgement& decree.... one would think that the Judgement and decree is sufficient! was enough for me three years ago in Miami. sorry you caught a snag ...

Re: Phialdelphia requirement and divoce decree proof

I had a similar situation when I went to the Miami consulate in 2009, I needed to present my Judgement&Decree from my divorce. Was the decree you presented signed by the judge and did the divorce papers have "Judgement & Decree on it?

Re: Phialdelphia requirement and divoce decree proof

Hi, What the consulate needs is a certified copy of your "Judgement & Decree" I don't think that you need a lawyer to take care of this issue. Usually a certified copy can be obtained at the Department of health in the county that your divorce took place or at the State Department of health. Is the ...

Re: apostille then translation?

I used Gabriella Einaga for translations, she's very reasonably priced, does a great job! She did all of my translations, and the Miami consulate accepted them all,no problems. you can scan and email them to her and she will email your translated docs back to you, very simple and this way you can send ...
