Re: Please Help - Validate my Document List
JJ313,
Thanks for the information. I know this is a new rule, but do you know why just my Birth Certificate has to be approved from NY? Also, since the divorce happened after I was born, do I really need to show those documents? They really have nothing to do with my citizenship and thought I ...

Lost Marriage Record
Hi,
I have exhausted all avenues in looking for my Great Grandparents marriage record from NYC. I have been in contact with Leonora (NYC Archives Lead) and still have had no luck. Since this one document is holding up my application for citizenship, I am willing to try a different route. I wanted ...

Re: LOOKING FOR SCAFATI COMUNE INFO
I am currently in the process of just gathering all the documentations I need. I have to go through the Miami consulate so I am just following the directions on their site with help from the other citizenship sites.

Re: LOOKING FOR SCAFATI COMUNE INFO
Hi,
I actually received my great grandmothers birth certificate (extract) from Scafati. I actually emailed them asking for the document and received it about a month later.
Here is the email address and website (link takes you to the anagrafe office page):

Thanks!
I am going to see what I can dig up on Maddalena!
Since you two always help me! (and everyone else). A little update:
You were helping me find Frank Rey's info a while back. I finally just found the Ellis island manifest a couple days ago! It was filed under Francesco Ko (The data entry ...

Re: Help with Ellis Island Script
Thanks Carmine. Maybe it is a very rough Sister or sister in law. I know her mother is Maria and Father is Simone. I am still waiting for the status of her family from Italy to know her siblings.

Help with Ellis Island Script
Hi All,
Can someone help me decipher the script in the image? It is an extract from an Ellis Island manifest. It is the two lines in the column of "Whether going to join a relative or friend, and if so, what relative or friend and his name and complete address". The passenger was Grazia Silvestri ...

Re: NY Municipal Archives Visit
He went and had no luck... but I do not think he was able to search all possible boroughs from 1913 - 1920.
I will have to wait until he has a chance to go back or hire one of the online agencies to track down the document... if it exists.
