Re: Salvatore Danna and Ninfa Spalla's Marriage doc

Lisa, I've just realised I made a typo: Image 1697 should read the 1875 Birth Record (No 184) of Ninfa Spalla, not 1884. I obviously got on the wrong keys didn't notice. I was in a rush.

Re: Antonino D'anna's Illegitimate birth

These are loose translations. Literal ones often don't make sense:

No 1: “before me, Dr Nicolo’ Gatto, Mayor” (Sindaco = Mayor)

No 2: (baby was) born from Francesca Ninfa Spalla, from an unmarried union, who (ie Salvatore di Anna) has appeared here to make the present declaration

No 3: This ...

Re: santa Elena

My understanding, from my own Italian Catholic upbringing is that both the Church of Sant’ Elena and also the Church of Santa Maria ...

Vallini è il nome della località in cui era il casino degli eredi di don Basilio Fabiani. Ora esiste Contrada Vallini.
Grazie G. This all makes better sense. Thank you for the backup.
