Re: Antonio Salvatore - Loreto near Ancona

Mr Mikenz,
The surname was present only in the form SALVATORI (notice the little diff) in and near Loreto since '700. I can enumerate not one, but several families carring surname SALVATORI around the 1840 period. Note that the amount of possible connections rise rapidly if the look for any ...

Re: Erina Cardinale

Thanks to my pals a lot of information is already at hand.

Here I'm tackling the last big question in the original request:
I would also like to find out where Erina and Matteo were married. They were living in Sicily when they left for America, but I believe that she was originally from a town ...

Re: Furiasi of Ancona

Mr(s) LyndaN,
my pals have already dug up any online result. Others ways to find out... could be a trip & research, or someone-for-hire, etc

By the way, I uncovered some details in my time.

Luciana Furiasse lived in Castelfidardo, AN, Italy. She was born 1926 .

Eugenio family had two additional ...

Here's a link for her:

grab directions, telephone, etc
When you'll reach it eventually, look for the baptism in the registers, cause I'm unable to guess which family Mariano belongs to ...

Re: Angelini Family back in 1895

I've found those parents. Pietro Angelini and Maria Mancini lived in Ascoli Piceno around 1895 with 7 childrens. Let's draw the whole family:

Re: Help identifying a coat of arms

The town of Ronco Biellese in Piedmont has 9 yellow lilies, blue shield. And a tower in it which you didn't mention, so a mismatch.

Let's try in another way: could you record how you (or a true anglosaxon) would pronounce VINANEA? Let's have Italian speakers hear it, and propose better approximations...

Re: Help Translating Birth Act

Yes, Pallotta is a common surname in the country of Macerata. Not just the city. In the end, that reference could point to a birthplace somewhere in or near Macerata.

Re: adoption records

Adoption didn't require paper at that time. Still, some adoptions left traces.
In your case, I suggest you weight the implications of being part of a noble house. Nobles often left will(s). To be nomitated heir (full/partial) in Giuseppe's will, Pietro has to be a legal-child since it was not a ...

Wrong.
He's born in Fermo. He was in S.Elpidio a Mare at the time of call for arms.
No links to Porto S.Elpidio.

It also exposes a migration Fermo->S.Elpidio-a-Mare between 1888-1907.

Re: Monte Secco?

It is Montesecco under Pergola (Pesaro) , definitely.
Bad news is: town records starts in 1866. You'll have to try with the church records. And that means another trouble since....

Church: S. Sebastiano
Population: 32

...is not enough for keep a Priest. Either all parish registers where moved ...

Re: Monte Secco?

No need to travel to Marche this time (although nice to see).
Montesecco is inside Rome - in memories, at least. Today's called FIDENE , in Municipio 4.

The parish is S.Felicità e Figli Martiri, have a look:
