Re: Translation help please - Italian birth cert
Thank you mmogno. How very confusing. I'll have a look and see if there is any record of Giacobbe.
I've looked again and I cannot make out where Loreta Zompetta's name is? I think I need glasses lol

Re: Translation help please - Italian birth cert
Hi darkerhorse, thank you. Your right, I see the fu Carlo now and I think your right about the occupation - thanks for the list, it's much more comprehensive that the one I already had.
I can't make out the mother's details at all though.

Re: Translation help please - Italian birth cert
I have another I'm a bit stuck on if anyone can cast an eye over please.
Matilde Quadrini, 15th June 1857 in Arpino, Daughter of Giovanni Quadrini (can't make out the word after his name), age 31, Profession?
I'm particularly stuck on the mother's information. I can see something about the Parish ...

Re: Birth Cert - Illegitimate or twins?
Thank you Angela, I think your right. There are a couple I'd like so I'll wait and put the requests in together. I've found another couple of certificates I was looking for online, slowly trying to work my way through the translation before I start the hunt for a couple I'm missing. I will then try ...

Translation help please - Italian birth cert
Marco Zuffranieri born in Arpino, 27th January 1856.
I can see his father is Giovanni (son of Gennaro?) and his mother is Restituta Rea (daughter of Dominico ?).
I'm a bit stuck with his Giovanni's profession and there appear to be other place names other than Arpino but I can't quite make them ...

Re: Birth Cert - Illegitimate or twins?
Thanks Angela. I knew she was married to Marco, this is how I knew it was the correct Marie, there were a couple born around the same time frame - a friend located it.
The records I'm using only go to 1865. I really need the ones after, my great grandfather was born in 1886, Giovanne Zuffranieri in ...

Re: Birth Cert - Illegitimate or twins?
It's a double trouble, the language barrier and the curves lol. I'm starting to get a bit better; I knew I had a couple of great grandparents who were Italian and a couple French. Turns out one of the French is actually Italian so I'm back to that again - I speak neither so I'm back and forth with ...

Re: Birth Cert - Illegitimate or twins?
Thank you very much Darkerhorse. I couldn't see the name Francesco's name on Maries? Maybe too long staring at the screen.
I've looked again - Where Franscesco Rea is on Angleas birth certificate - when I move over to Maries' it says Annamarie, with the occupation Midwife, that's why I wondered if ...

Birth Cert - Illegitimate or twins?
Hi
I have recently found the birth certificate of my great x 3 grandmother, Marie Rea born in Aprino, Frosinone, Italy in 1863. I cannot see a father's name on her certificate, so assumed she was illegitimate. However, on the entry right beside it there is a father's name - both the babies have ...

Arpino, Frosinone Birth Records
Hello
I wonder if anyone can help please. I'm looking for birth records for approximately 1887 for Aprion, Frosinone. I found some records however they stopped a decade earlier. Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you

Re: Terracina - Death Records
Thank you all very much. I took a couple of days out as it was slightly overwhelming. Given the amount of coincidence it is unlikely this was not her child. I will write to the orphanage and create a post to see if I can find more information for Giuseppe. I heard today that children registered ...
