On his marriage record to Orsola Luongo it will say if he was a vedevo (widower)

I also saw another entry passing through the microfilm with Domenico Iovine mentioned. I found a few like this one:

Does anyone know what and why his name was mentioned there? Again, there's like 5-6 more microfilm entries prior to 1849 in Tufo with Domenico Iovine's name mentioned like that in the bottom part of the record.

Grazie, everyone here is very helpful and I really do appreciate the help and assistance!

I know you have been super helpful already, just one more question about the original certificate (first one I sent) with Giacomo... does it list any address or place of residence at the time of birth on the record?

Also, there's a lot of text where it seems to read Antonia Grossi's name, what's all that cursive talking about, anything important about her?

Ok thanks a lot Marty for all of your help! I guess I exhausted Giacomo's birth record. I'm going tomorrow to the Family Search Center back to this microfilm to find Domenico's and Antonia's birth records now thanks to you I have their birth years

So I had to order another microfilm from Tufo for the pre-1820 years. I couldn't find Domenico and Antonia's marriage though but it was a lot of years to look through, so I started searching for older siblings of Giacomo to kinda narrow down their marriage year. The above link I think is a potential sibling, Guiseppe Iovine...

I think your eyes are better than mine, a lot better! Can you confirm that is Guiseppe Iovine son of Domenico and Antonia?

Thanks, grazie

So I took a look at the other microfilm 1866-1899 and found A LOT! I have a lot to sort through but the most important one I found attached above is Giacomo and Orsoloa's marriage certificate. Do you mind helping me out with that please? What I'm looking for is Orsola's birth date, her parent's names, and if Giacomo was a widow or divorcee at the time of marriage?

One interesting thing I found is one year before their marriage, Giacomo and his first wife Mariangela had a child. I have a lot of work to do I found at least 20 documents mentioning my last name. I have to make another trip since they closed.

Thanks a lot, means a lot to me someone can read this sloppy handwriting lol

So I've been trying to contact the comune di Tufo via email the past month, now that I have the exact dates and parent names I can get the certificates I need to apply for Italian dual citizenship, but they aren't answering.

What's a good way to obtain the required certificates for Giacomo and Orsola since email doesn't seem to work (I wrote in Italian and English)? I know calling them will be a disaster with my broken Italian :)

Oh I didn't, I'll try that...

is it worth hiring one of these firms that charge like $100 per document in Italy?
