Help getting birth certificate

[pdg9]

Hello everybody, i m from Argentina and i m trying to find all the documents in order to apply for the italian citizenship. My great grandfather was born in Sala Consilina, Province of Citeriore, Comune of Salerno. i ve been researching for a lot of years and i ve found the most documents that i need, but i have a problem with the italian birth certificate, because i ve noticed that my great grandfather was a foundling, so the comuna told me that they had found the birth record but they couldnt issue a birth certificate because the birth record didnt state the exact and they sent me an Attestation with a perhaps date.
What do you think? have anyone been at the same ??
Thanks a lot,
best regards.
