Baptism Record

Post by RobininStl »

Can I get some help with the attached baptism record. I am looking at entry 39, which is the last entry on page 76, for the child, Filippo Laurello. I'm trying to decipher where it says the parents are from. Am I reading it correctly that they are from Palermo, and live at the home of Antonino La Manna? I've highlighted the area that I am requesting translation. The record is from Monreale, Palermo, Sicily.

Where do you read Palermo?
I read they are "from this Parish"
Giuseppe "Pippo" Moccaldi

I thought perhaps the word "Par" was abbreviation for Palermo. I wasn't sure because I haven't seen a record written in this manner before.
Thank you!
