My cousin and I were able to solve an ancestral mystery together... and with what info we gathered.. we were able to share info with our parents and others... though it could be time consuming and frustrating at times... but very rewarding... just takes time...

If you have a cousin you could work with... it could be helpful and lots of fun...

It would be nice to find the other census records... will check the forum later today.

great Debbie!! about San Concordio and San Martino mentioned( also on ship's manifest of leandro are an BEI Giovanni from San Martino, same final destination of Leandro) well as mfjp showing, are 2 hamlet of Lucca common.... about surname of Leandro's mother also I agree with mfjp that the just spelling most most probable is Paolinelli most diffused in Lucca...

ty suanj for the image. Leandro/Andrew died in 1929. Not sure of the month. I have not been able to get any census, up to now. I have only been looking on the no cost sites. Will be looking into the paid sites next month. Budget lol.

Am pretty sure at this point that they came from San Concordio di Moriano. Not quite sure where to go with that. I don't read Italian so it makes it a bit slower lol. Did find out that Pia died in Houghton at an early age. She was shot and killed.

I do know that Leandro/Andrew Lombardini, Gervasio and Pia were in the Houghton, MI area. Andrew worked in the Copper mines.
