Okay. I've just located the 1833 Marriage Record of Vincenzo Bartolotta, 22 yo (c.1811) son of Francesco Bartolotta, 48 yo (c.1785) and Bernarda Liggio, 36 yo (c.1797), which also suggests the parents were born much earlier.

(Bride was Biaggia Majuri, never married, 22 yo, born/living Corleone, daughter of Giuseppe Majuri, 58 yo, farmer, and of Mercuria Finocchio, 46 yo, both living in the town.)

My thinking is that the clerk probably estimated the parents ages at the time of their children's marriages. He probably estimated their ages from whatever was written on their birth/baptism records. Either the clerk's calculation wasn't so good or Francesco reported their ages incorrectly? Do you have any of the baptism records to check? You often see errors with ages etc in Palermo records.

Sometimes church records give a lot of info....... and mostly they don't. Do you have their church marriage record? (Hopeful thinking here.)

I've attached the church wedding record that you requested. Essentially it says:

Church of San Martino in Corleone, Sicily. Record #5 - dated 7 January 1833. In Latin. Banns were posted 16, 23, 25 of December 1833 for marriage of Vincenzo Bartolotta, son of Francesco Bartolotta and Bernarda Leggio with Biaggia/Blasia Majuri, daughter of Joseph Mercurio Majuri and Mercuria Finocchio There were no impediments to the marriage.

Sorry, I obviously didn't make myself clear. I wasn't asking for this 1833 church record - I posted the 1833 civil record which includes the church record. I was asking whether you had Francesco Bartolotta and Bernarda Liggio's church marriage record which would have been pre-civil records - it might possibly include each of their ages thus giving you a more accurate understanding of their respective birth years. I don't need to see it.
