Re: Sicilian DNA
My siblings will never do DNA testing so the point about comparisons is moot.

Any comments on this response from AI?
Summary of Categories for Sicily/Sicilian Ancestry:
23andMe: "Italy" under Southern European, but no specific mention of Sicily or Sicilian.
AncestryDNA: "Italy/Greece" with no specific mention of Sicily.
MyHeritage: "Southern Italy" (may include Sicily).
Living DNA: Regional breakdowns that may show Southern Italy or Sicily more specifically.
FamilyTreeDNA: "Italy/Southern Italy," sometimes identifying Sicilian ancestry in broad terms.
DNA Tribes: Mediterranean/Italian regions, with occasional emphasis on Southern Italian/Sicilian connections.
Best Option for Specific Sicilian Ancestry:
If you want a more granular breakdown that could identify Sicilian roots specifically, Living DNA is the best option, followed by FamilyTreeDNA, which may offer more specific details on southern Italian and Sicilian ancestry when you dive deeper into the results.

Re: Sicilian DNA
LivingDNA does not separate. My breakdown simply shows "Southern Italian" (including Sicily) with no separation. It's mainly a UK-based algorithm and is WAY OFF in my case. 23&Me is the only one (through a map) that separates out "closeness" in regards to Sicilian but gives no percentage. All the others combine it with Southern Italy except in some cases Ancestry does separate, but not always. Their newest update seems to be the most accurate.
