Frasenelli/ Frazenelli/ Frasenelle

Post by Frasenelli »

Newbie here!

My ancestor was Giovanni Frasenelli, or possibly spelt as above, we just don't know! He was born around 1839 in Parma we believe.
We don't know when he came over to England ,but he married Lydia Barrell in 1865 in Epping, Essex.
Would anyone have any information or be able to tell me where I may be able to find out any information such as his birth certificate?

Cheers all, Gill.

How would I go about getting a copy of his birth certificate?

we are thinking of going to Tuscany area on holiday next year, and intend to visit the area where he was born, so it would be lovely to find out a location.

Thanks once again.

you can obtain, maybe, the baptism certificate, knowing the church in Pontremoli where your ancestor was baptized, and finding a kind priest....; the civil records in Pontremoli starting from 1866 as I said above.... but before of anything is better to see the 1841 Pontremoli census by Mormon's microfilm, almost you can know the parent's names, and after to try for the baptist record in Pontremoli...

I know this dates from a while ago but I'm searching for the same ancestor.
I would love to know when he arrived in the UK. I have searched the "alien arrivals" 1826-1869 but no luck. We know he married in London in 1865 so it's a mystery how or when he arrived.
