I love this song very much.I pretty much get the jist of the song, but some words I am unsure of. If anyones bored would they mind translating this for me.

Can anyone recomend any other good italian singers. Anythign similar to Dean Martin, Jerry Vale, Lou Monte. Maybe any traditional stuff too or things like Andrea Bocelli. Also is there any newer modern italian singers that still sing in the traditional style today that anyone can recomend.

A living performer in the old neapolitan style: Mario Maglione. He has a soft voice and a genuine Neapolitan accent. A complete contrast to Bocelli or Pavarotti for example who sing in a forced operatic style.

A singer / songwriter creating new neapolitan songs: Enzo Gragnaniello. Don't let the tackyness of his official website put you off. Track down a copy of "Cu' mme" a song he did with Roberto Murolo and Mia Martini. A true modern classic. As I recall it was released on Murolo's Ottantavogliadicantare album.

thanx. i need to buy soem new cds man, im really into the traditional music, but it seems that every time i go out and get some modern italian singers, it seems real cheesy with a sort of sysnthesized ( spelling ) sound. i cant think of any examples recent ones i bought off of the top of my head, but i liek the style of Dean Martin ( the best in my book ) of course Frank cuz im a jersey boy. Jerry Vale, Lou Monte, Louie Prima, Jimmy Rosselli....and Dominic Chianese is very underrated...he is soooo good.

Bobby Darin sounds so familiar, I cant think of a song he does tho. Last year I went to Kazzas website, and typed in "Traditional Italian Music" and got a whole bunch of good stuff that way. Also "tarantella" or "siclilian tarantella" or "italian love songs". Got some of my best musci that way. Now when ever I go to stores to buy italian cds, it seems like every singers got the same songs on each cd - with a few variations. So you could be lookign for one song and buy a whole cd for it, that already contains one other cds music.

Also I love the fact that a bunch of old singers all did the same songs, but there own versions, it gives you a cahcne to hear a good song a bunch of different ways. I wonder why they all did each others songs tho.
