Lodging(reasonable) for August a challenge

Hello,
Well, I have my trip booked and car rented and an international driving permit. Now , I am having a difficult time finding a place to stay for 2 weeks plus.
My family is in Prata Sannita, Fontegreca, Capriati , all close to each other in Caserta Province. I require air conditioning due to severe allergies.
Does anyone know of any good options?
I have scoured the internet and craigslist too.
Maybe someone has a personal reference to a place in this area?
I don't want to stay too far from their homes since i will be going back and forth daily and also to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Naples for one day each.
Any help is greatly appreciated>

Yes, I did and no air condition in 95 %, others booked and others too expensive!

I have scoured the internet and craigslist. The time of year is high season and all the inexpensive hotels are booked. I don't want Naples and unfortunately the small villages I am looking in are booked or expensive or no a/c.
I have decided to book in the farm my cousin found and I will try to purchase a fan when I arrive and once there maybe other options will present themselves to us.

There are also convents that book rooms. They are usually pretty reasonable.

I don't know if there are any near Fontegreca, Prata Sannita or Capriati.
This is the problem, the area is isolated.
I did get a book with monasteries for lodging and none were nearby.

Holly dearest even if you find a place with air conditoning they sometimes have timers which switch off in the post midnight hours on the theory your sleeping and will never notice the air conditoning is closed and if you wake up the night guy knows nothing about the air conditioning.

Hollyh spring for a good nights sleep and pay for a room with 24 hour air conditoning since Southern Italy is HOT at night and the mosquitoes abound.....=Peter=

You are a gem Peter.
It is hotter here right now than it will be in Italy in Aug, 93 eery day for over a week, we are into our summer, we have no spring.
I can always buy a fan when I get there and gift it to my cousins when I leave!
Just need a BEST BUY or TARGET!!!!!!!!!LOL

Naples FLORIDA is such a lovely place to be in anytime of the year. Its a beautiful place. Maybe you can buy a de longhi dehumidifier in Italy (check your google.com for this italian company which come in portable units ...yes it get humid at night...and buy it there and uses less electricity)

maybe you can negotiate the de humidifer as part of the rent or all of the rent withthe landlord of whoever is so lucky as to have you as their guest. =Peter=

Thank you. I will do that.
Naples is lovely, however, the oil spill is about to destroy our shoreline.
I don't mind the humidity, it is just pollen I fear, maybe olive trees will be ok?
Here, the Oaks are stifling me.In Hilton Head , it was the Pines. We lived there for 5 years before moving here.
I never had allergies when we lived in Fort Lauderdale for over 20 years.

The air is so much cleaner and fresher, especially in the country. Also, even when it is hot during the day, it is very cool at nite.

Everyone says this. I am so excited and can't wait to get there. I just want to make sure I am comfortable and not miserable because 19 days is a long time.

In all my years of travel I always found that after 17 days I start to get antsy about going home so 19 days are superb for your first trip. =Peter=
