I'm glad you found that a daughter in law had the Sidoti surname. I saw the following yesterday but forgot to mention it. If you look at the 1920 census with the family on it, enumerated on the same street, is a Sidoti family as well as a family whose surname is misspelled, but these surnames are from Militello Rosmarino in Messina Province. When I saw that yesterday, I thought I might be on the right track with the town name, but I looked at some of those people on the passenger lists and couldn't connect them as relatives. But people from the same town did tend to settle in the same location, so I thought I had the town correct. I was just searching for additional proof. Yesterday I found Giuseppe Crasci on two passenger lists from the town, Antonio Grasci on a passenger list, and Basilio Crasi. Those were brothers all going to Cleveland, Ohio. I just can't connect them to Biagio. If they weren't brothers to Biagio then possibly they were cousins.
Anyway, I think we are on the right track. I do suspect that the surname changed in spelling from the original spelling.
I probably won't be on the forum a lot today. I have Mah Jonng this morning and then need to get some of my own genealogy research and writing done. I am writing a family history book for my sons and have about 320 pages written so far, but I keep getting sidetracked.
Have a good day and thanks again.
Hugs
Peg

Re: Biogio Grassi and Carmella Lopresti
Thank you so much Peg and Suanj!!! I will do some research and let you know what I come up with.
Re: Biogio Grassi and Carmella Lopresti
Carmela LoPresti is the sister of Giuseppa LoPresti AKA Josephine (LoPresti) Williams
Her fathers name is Calogero LoPresti and mother is Maria Ciuppa.
They are buried at the cemetary in Sant' Agata di Militello in the provience of Messina in Sicily.
I am not sure where Carmela and Biagio were married but you might want to check out the church in Bellevue, Ohio I believe it is called Imaculate Conception.
They are burried at the cemetary in Bellevue, Ohio
